Introduction

Shanshan earned her bachelor’s degree at Sichuan University, majoring in Ecology. She completed her master’s degree in Genomics at the Institute of Zoology, CAS in 2025. She focused on developing methods to detect the signals of adaptive evolution (e.g., convergent evolution) using sequences, and was especially interested in those based on machine learning/deep learning models. She enjoys birdwatching and stand-up comedy in her leisure time.
